So if you are reading my blog (and there’s no reason for you to be doing so as this is merely the ramblings of a Brit trying to make sense of his life as an actor in Los Angeles), then you might know I am in a theatre piece for the Hollywood Fringe Festival this year.
Each year there are more shows than the last. This year there are 327 shows on offer during the month of June and Buzzfeed named us the number one ‘most anticipated show this fringe season’.
So, no pressure then…
We had our first show on Saturday 3 June and we had our second on Saturday 10 June. Here is a link to the review but being that it’s my bat, my ball and i’m captain of this site, I have extracted a piece from the review, for your delectation.
“British actor Damien Gerard (“The Tension Experience”, “Elder Scrolls:Legends”) is a veritable freight train, crashing Klein and St. Jude’s offices, playing it cool while simmering with hidden rage at St. Jude. Yes, it explodes, and yes, Gerard and Meyers practically set the theatre on fire in their confrontations. Gerard is a fierce presence with a smarmy politician’s edge.”
So that’s alright then.
